Trying to write this without my lyrics sounding childish. I know you’re supposed to write for your audience, but, to me, I’m limiting myself to the 18-24 demographic. Which isn’t a bad thing, I suppose. The new second verse took longer to develop than the first one, but I feel like it’s a little more catchier/memorable than the first.
idk. All I know is that for my next move I want a R&B breakdown, where the tempo slows down and some reveal occurs. Like maybe second thoughts about the course of actions taking place
Fuck it. I’m just happy i’m progressing with a full (ish) second song of my college career that I genuinely feel good about
I’m fooled by your smile
captivated by your touch
I dream about your beauty
And pretend like I’m good enough
I know there are other girls out there
I just gotta go ahead and choose one
But how could one possibly love the moon
After first seeing the sun
(Bridge)
I’m drawn to, impeccable beauty
That’s probably why, I think about you daily
Who caused your smile?
Can I be that somebody
Cause’
(chorus)
Have you ever met somebody,
that makes you feel this way
Their always on your mind, for some reason everyday
I dream about the day that we could be together
Hoping for a love, that you can call forever
You stole a glance from me
and now you have my heart
I don’t care about your past babe,
because here and now is where we start
I can’t promise you no heartache
cant promise that we wont fight
The only thing I can promise girl
is that I fall asleep with you on my mind
(Bridge)
I’m drawn to, impeccable beauty
That’s probably why, I think about you daily
Who caused your smile?
Can I be that somebody
Cause’
(chorus)
Have you ever met somebody,
that makes you feel this way
Their always on your mind, for some reason everyday
I dream about the day that we could be together
Hoping for a love, that you can call forever
I’m fooled by your smile
captivated by your touch
I sing about your beauty
And pretend like I’m good enough
I know there are other girls out there
I just gotta go ahead and choose one
But how could one possibly love the moon
After first seeing the sun
(chorus)
Have you ever met somebody,
that makes you feel this way
Their always on your mind, for some reason everyday
I dream about the day that we could be together
Hoping for a love, that you can call forever
You stole a glance from me
and now you have my heart
I don’t care about your past babe,
because here and now is where we start
I can’t promise you no heartache
cant promise that we wont fight
The only thing I can promise girl
is that I fall asleep with you on my mind
(chorus)
Have you ever met somebody,
that makes you feel this way
Their always on your mind, for some reason everyday
I dream about the day that we could be together
Hoping for a love, that you can call forever
(also I’m really happy because I finally have a title: That Somebody)
called “Give You All of Me”
and we all know relationships take work. Both people have to put the same amount of effort to make it work. My song is a cute, little diddy about a guy eager to learn all he can about a girl, while trying to keep his cool and taking it easy. Basically it’s a song about looking for that happy medium between coming on too strong and indifference.
Here’s the chorus:
Just give me one piece of you
And I’ll, give you all of me
Talk to you when you’re free,
till I know everything
They say I try too hard
when it comes to matters of the heart
Easy for them to say, they haven’t seen your face
(yea, yea, yea, yea. mmmmmm)
seen your face
to be able to write. To think of lyrics and a beat and put it down on paper. As cliche as it sounds, I’ve been trying to work out how I feel in my head, and the more progress I make, the easier it is for me to lay it all out on paper. First song in college, so the inspiration should be obvious.
is the name of the song I started writing around last december and finished last month. It’s tough to write when your inspiration was fleeting, but the girl I started this for, and the one I finished it for, both provided the necessary mindset to get through it.
True to myself, it’s a mushy love song, so if you’re interested in the lyrics, here they are.
I wanna be the one you call at night
I wanna be the one who holds you tight
I wanna be the one who you say
was the best part, of your day
I wanna be your guy, I wanna be your guy
I wanna
run up behind you and say hello
Wrap my arms around you and kiss in the snow
I’ll do anything, I’ll go the extra mile
Just so I can see your smile
I wanna be your guy, I wish I could be, your guy
with some rare free time. And what I’ve noticed is that song writer’s these days are trying to get more of how they feel into their songs. More of what they are thinking every moment after something has happened. And it’s holiday season, the season where everybody wants to be with that special someone. So here’s a little sample of a song I’m currently writing.
It still needs a title. And an opening verse. A bridge, and several other verses. lol
So here we go:
I wanna be the guy you call at night,
I wanna be the guy you who holds you tight
I want to be the guy who you say, was the best part of your day
I want to be your guy, oh, I want to be your guy
I wanna run up behind you and say hello,
wrap my arms around you, and kiss in the snow
I’ll do everything, I’ll go the extra mile, just so I can see your smile
I want to be your guy, oh, I want to be your guy
